Favourites Menu in IE7
The traditional and historical way of managing Favourites. See also: Adding a Favourite.
Bugs
- Menu arrow colour does not invert on hover:
- Other menus get this right.
- The text does invert colour.
- Same thing happens in the Favourites menu of Windows Explorer.
- There is no gap between background colour for selected item and menu edges. There should be a 2 pixel gap (XP Silver theme). Other menus get this right.
- Menu item stays selected when mouse moves over a separatator. When the mouse is over a separator, no items in that menu level should be selected.
- Sometimes these menus stop casting a shadow (XP Silver theme). Other menus get this right.
- Tooltip is displayed for subitem when mouse is over the parent folder item. There should be no tooltip when the mouse is there.
- Ctrl+B acts as a shortcut for Organise Favourites.
- Folders can only be dragged if a modifier key (Ctrl, Shift or Alt) is pressed. This is inconsistent with other drag and drop operations, such as dragging and dropping items. No modifier should be required for a
DROPEFFECT_MOVE
.
Ideas
- Rename Add Tab Group to Favourites to the more concise Add All to Favorites. This improves consistency with the adjescent Add to Favorites item.
- Remove the separator between Add Tab Group to Favourites and Organize Favorites.
