End of Ticket Collector (23rd April 2014)

270 tickets from nearly every journey I’ve made on South West Trains. I think that’s enough.

My collection began on 18th June 2009 when I first got a job in London. A peak time return ticket was £25.70. Definitely get a Network Railcard if you do more than 10 train journeys a year.

For at least a year I’ve bought tickets using my card and I scrape the transactions from my online banking facility. There is no reason to keep collecting these as I have no use for them.

Weird how hard this habit was to break. This evening I simply decided to do something with them or recycle them. Counting them was more than I could be bothered to do but it gave this trivial entry a more impressive opening.

Next: discarding my old receipts.
