Eurosport Owns Le Mans (18th March 2008)
Several days ago, British Eurosport’s Motorsports Weekend announced they now own the rights to covering Le Mans for the next 3 years!
- Every minute of the 24-hour race itself.
- Qualifying.
- Practice sessions.
- The historics race.
- Highlights of every race in the 5-race ELMS Championship, with some live coverage.
I remember the coverage they gave when Bentley won the GTP class and finished 3rd overall, after a 70-year absence from the event. Eurosport commentators really get what the sport is about and what makes it fun to watch, as well as being huge fans of the events themselves.
Aston Martin are in various racing events, including the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Le Mans Series. The most competitive vehicles from Peugeot and Audi are now turbo-diesels.
